University Animal Clinic - Tyler TX - Our Friendly Veterinarian Dr. Schell

Dr. John Schell-Veterinarian

Dr. Schell graduated from Texas A&M in 1987. He worked at a dairy practice his first year, followed by a position at an animal hospital in  the DFW metroplex that emphasized advanced dentistry. From there he returned to his old neighborhood for five years to work at a clinic within walking distance to the Dallas Zoo. For the next two years he worked in about thirty different animal hospitals in the DFW area as a relief veterinarian. In 1997 he bought UAC in which he currently works. Dr. Schell enjoys time with his family and friends, as well as gardening, wood working and reading.

Wendie Waldron: Veterinary Technician

Joined University Animal Care Clinic in 2007. She has been a Veterinary Technician for small and large animals for 36 years. When not working you can find her working her horses Kid and Preacher getting ready for a Barrel Race. During the summer you can find her on the lake with her jet ski.

Daisy: Receptionist

Joined University Animal Care Clinic in 2011. She came to us in 2011 after being struck by a car and brought to us by a dear friend of Dr. John Schell. She recovered well and is now our furry receptionist.

Reebekah Robinson: Veterinary Assistant

Joined University Animal Clinic in the summer of 2017 and is currently studying veterinary medicine. A total animal lover, you can find her at any time giving animals attention. With several dogs at home and even a cat she is always surrounded by animals. In her free time she can be found spending time with friends and family.

Marie Barker: Professional Groomer

Joined University Animal Clinic in the spring of 2015. Marie graduated from Valley Vocational Grooming Academy in California. Marie and another graduate then formed a partnership and opened up their own grooming shop. Marie had an opportunity to move to Texas in 2005 and has been serving the East Texas area ever since. In her free time she enjoys nature watching, fishing and camping.

These lovely ladies help out at the clinic when they are not at school. The two oldest are off to college.
